The following excerpt is from the report “Sham debate seeks ban on therapy for unwanted same sex attraction” on the Christian Concern website: “MPs have held a debate in Westminster Hall in an effort to increase pressure on the government to ban therapy which helps reduce feelings of unwanted same sex attraction.”
Change therapy is a means of reducing feelings of same sex attraction for individuals who seek change in their sexual preference and expression. Despite evidence that the therapy can help reduce unwanted feelings of same sex attraction, it was variously described as “voodoo”, “abhorrent” and a “real and present danger” during the debate.” (more…)

Following is an excerpt from Voice of the Voiceless condemning the bullying actions of gay activists: “Gay activists are champions of tolerance and anti-bullying, that is, until someone disagrees with their opinion. In that case, it’s hate speech and should not be tolerated! That’s exactly what is happening in Bronx, New York at Cardinal Spellman High School, where on Monday night the Catholic school announced that an address by retired priest Fr. Donald G. Timone from the New York Archdiocese on the issue of same-sex attraction, set for Tuesday, had been postponed.”
“Fr. Donald G. Timone has been involved with Courage − a 33 year-old Catholic support group that encourages men and women with same-sex attractions to live chaste lives − for many years. But gay activists don’t like the Catholic church’s position on homosexuality, so they began doing what they do best . . . bullying the school’s principal and administration for daring to host a priest that has stayed true to the church’s position on sexuality!” …

The following excerpt is from the blog “Self Watch” on Joe Dallas’s website: … “I know, of course, that we are ultimately kept by the power of God, not our own efforts. (I Peter 1:3-5) I know that even the will to do God’s will is imparted, not innate (Philippians 2:13) and that if my spiritual growth is determined only by my maintenance efforts, it’ll be non-existent. (Galatians 3:3) Still, there’s a principle of sowing and reaping to be considered. Whether it’s flesh or spirit I sow to, there will be corresponding results, and the decision to choose where my sowing efforts go is my own, given by the God who ordained free will just as surely as He offers grace. And while I revel in grace like a hog in his favorite mud puddle, maturity requires me to also apply myself, with whatever ability God has given me, to invest in growth. Bible reading, prayer, mortifying the flesh, confession and accountability don’t determine my right standing with God, and I’m not one to frustrate His grace by trying to add to the Cross. (Galatians 2:21) But a stronger, vibrant, fruit bearing Joe simply won’t happen without them. That’s life; that’s final.” (more…)

The following excerpt is from the blog “Mercy 15: Mercy for Transformation” on Andrew Comiskey’s website: … “The body of Christ has bought the lie that Jesus cannot touch homosexuality! He may well have destroyed death, stormed the gates of hell to get us out of there, and rose again in order to raise us up into newness of life, but homosexuality? His transforming grace does not suffice! If the Church is the witness of Jesus, then that is precisely what we hear: stammering little nothings that basically convey ‘you’re born that way, sorry. Jesus suffered and so must you…’”
“I do not hope in an arbitrary blast of Pentecost or a therapeutic technique that only a few can access. Nor do I define transformation as a seamless shift from gay to straight desires. I am referring to what Jesus actually did for us. His life of obedience resulting in crucifixion and resurrection opened for all the horizon of what it means to be human: authentically, dynamically, passionately human.” (more…)

The following excerpts are from the PFOX Blog “Teach the NEA how to write:”… “Recently, PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays) received some correspondence from an NEA employee, a journalist who writes for NEA Today. The NEA correspondence was in response to an email from PFOX on the ex-gay community’s declaration for equal access and equal treatment in our nation’s schools. The journalist’s comment was brief and to the point — ‘Please stop sending us you’re garbage. Sincerely, the Majority of America.’”
… “The PFOX email that prompted NEA’s bigoted comment urged the distribution of ex-gay flyers on the ‘Day of Silence’ in order to give complete information on sexual orientation to students. Our ex-gay flyers tell teens about exploring the origin of same-sex attraction and warn them against early self-labeling as ‘gay’ because sexuality develops over time. PFOX needs to be that other voice that is heard in the schools. Our children cannot just hear only the voice of those promoting homosexual behavior and thoughts. They need to know that if they are experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction, that change is possible. The voice of the ex-gay community also needs to be affirmed and respected.” …

The following excerpts are from the blog “Mercy 14: Mercy for Purity” on Andrew Comiskey’s website: “The goal of our sexuality is to become good, fruitful gifts to others. That means integrating our sexuality into the whole of our humanity. When our desires and motives for another are subject to what is truly best for that other, then we have become pure.”
… “Pornography use is the ultimate disintegrator. It inflames sexual desire while splitting one off from the reality of what a whole sexual relationship requires. Porn blinds its users to the command to love a person as a whole. Porn fractures the lives of all involved; it subverts chastity more than any other force on earth.” (more…)

The following excerpts are from the blog “The Default Principle” on Joe Dallas’s website: “When you discover behavior that delivers pleasurable impact, your brain will crave a repetition of the impact. Accept this fact and prepare for it, and you’ll go far towards maintaining integrity over the years”
“I used to think that if the urge to look at porn re-emerged, it meant I was in some sort of weakened state, emotionally or spiritually. Sometimes that proved to be true, certainly, but not always. Decades after stopping all porn use, I find the temptation can arise when things are going beautifully or horribly. Lust has a mind of its own, and the temptation to default back to high-impact activity can rear its head seemingly without rhyme or reason.”
“That’s because, to my thinking, the brain behaves quite amorally when it comes to impact. (more…)

The following excerpts are from the blog “Mercy 13: Mercy for Sodom” on Andrew Comiskey’s website: Growing acceptance of gender brokenness seems founded on the belief that people are born incurably ‘gay,’ ‘transgender’ etc. Why not be and act according to who one intrinsically is?
Rarely discussed is the fracturing impact such acceptance has upon vulnerable boys and girls. Identity formation involves far more than genetics. Who we become from childhood to adulthood depends significantly upon the ‘identities’ we witness. Are they blessed or broken in the eyes of those around us? Social cues influence the choices children make about who they will become. (more…)

The following is the editorial “To This We’ve Come” by David Pickup, MA, LMFT published on the PFOX website: Last night, under the sponsorship of the venerable Los Angeles Press Club, the Screen Actors Guild, FreeWillUSA and Rage, a panel discussion event, “LGBTs in the News: There’s more to our story than discrimination and marriage,” was held in the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood. The advertised purpose of this event was stated as: “A great opportunity for journalists to improve their coverage of the emerging issues of a diverse community, growing in mainstream acceptance.”
Many topics were discussed about how professional journalists could accurately report on these emerging Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender (LGBT) issues in our country and the world. (more…)

Following is the unabridged News Update by the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund regarding the JONAH defense against the Southern Poverty Law Center’s lawsuit: The parties in the JONAH case will soon be ending the written discovery phase of this precedent-setting case and beginning numerous depositions. As a result of having to file multiple motions with the court, JONAH has been successful in getting plaintiffs to provide valuable information while at the same time it has protected the identities of its clients and potential clients. Many thousands of documents have been exchanged by the parties. This includes key documents which should help JONAH prove at trial that this ill-conceived case is the contrivance of homosexual activists like Wayne Besen and the SPLC. Wayne Besen has been quoted as stating the following about the importance of defeating what he calls the “Ex-Gay” movement: “This is the keystone issue that underlies every single LGBT issue that’s out there…If you win this issue, you’ve won, in essence.” (more…)
