Jeff Walton’s web article quoted Hillary Clinton speaking at a gay pride event organized by the group “Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies” in June of 2010. “We celebrate the progress of advancing the rights of LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] in our country, as we continue to advance the rights of all people around the world.” Walton believes that at the State Department LGBT rights trump religious freedom.
