Despite the pro-gay bias of the reporter ex-gay Mike Davidson’s testimony and opinions are not distorted in this interview. Here is an excerpt from the April 21, 2012 article in The Telegraph: – “I’m expecting a firebrand. What I get is a gently spoken, slightly stooping man with a South African accent, who lives in a neat detached house in the countryside south of Belfast. His wife, Lynore, brings coffee and chocolate biscuits. They have been married for 32 years, during which time he claims to have been turned away from homosexuality by a combination of counselling, prayer and psychotherapy. He also claims to be able to help others do the same. (more…)

Psychotherapist Lesley Pilkington has had her license suspended for trying to help a man who came to her saying that he had unwanted homosexuality. In truth the man was a gay activist reporter seeking to discredit her psychotherapeutic attempt to help him. A short video of her articulating her conviction to her biblical beliefs can be found at http://www.4thought.tv/themes/do-we-still-need-religion–2/935?autoplay=true.

The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality has released a statement clarifying what it deems sexual orientation change. The statement appears to be in response to recent statements made by Alan Chambers of Exodus International.
Here are some excerpts from the statement: “First and foremost, it is important to recognize that how change is conceptualized has vast implications for our thinking about change. Some of the more ardent proponents and opponents of homosexual sexual orientation change may view change in strictly categorical terms, where change is an all-or-nothing experience. Proponents and opponents with this view differ only in the direction of their desired outcome. Proponents of change understood in categorical terms may view a homosexual sexual orientation as a lifestyle choice that merely needs to be renounced. Opponents who take this viewpoint, on the other hand, may conceive of sexual orientation as essentially hard wired and simply not modifiable. NARTH does not support either of these perspectives.” (more…)

The full text to the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality practice guidelines can be found on the NARTH website at http://narth.com/2011/12/narth-practice-guidelines/.
Here is a short excerpt from the introduction: – “This document is intended to provide educational and treatment guidance to clinicians who affirm the right of clients to pursue change of unwanted same-sex behavior and attractions. The specific goals of these guidelines are twofold: (1) to promote professional practice that maximizes positive outcomes and reduces the potential for harm among clients who seek change-oriented intervention for unwanted same-sex attractions and behavior, and (2) to provide information that corrects stereotypes or mischaracterizations of change-oriented intervention and those who seek it.”

LifeSiteNews.com post: – “POZNAN, POLAND, September 6, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A conference on the treatment of homosexuality has been denied use of facilities at a medical school in Poland, after the school had initially given approval for the event.
