The following excerpts are from the article “Wayne ‘It’s Ok to Have Sex with Aids Infected Partners’ Besen Launches Junk Science Website” on the Voice of Voiceless website: “Friday the 5th of December 2013 marked a new low in the pursuit of scientific research on LGBT issues. Wayne ‘It’s OK to Have Sex with AIDS-Infected Partners’ Besen, the founder and creator of the hilariously named hate group Truth Wins Out, announced yet another creative effort to promote “scientifically proven truth” concerning LGBT issues. His new website, LGBTscience.com, also touts the “harmful” and “unscientific” nature of reparative therapies.”
… “Considering Mr. Besen’s stated efforts, it is astonishing that he and his researchers offer only one point of view on their new website. They appear to have made a common error seen in many overly biased research efforts. (more…)

The following excerpts are from the “NARTH Response to the WMA Statement on Natural Variations of Human Sexuality” on the NARTH website: “The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) is greatly dismayed by the recent statement from the World Medical Association (WMA, 2013), which is not so much a reflection on human sexuality as it is a clear attempt to discredit any and all professional attempts to assist clients who wish to modify same-sex attractions and behaviors. NARTH observes that the WMA’s statement in many places lacks scientific integrity, sometimes providing conclusions that are no more supportable than speculation and at other times failing to provide adequate scholarly context. Given these serious shortcomings, NARTH believes that it is necessary to provide the public with information WMA irresponsibly neglected in their statement.” (more…)

Following are excerpts from Andrew Comiskey’s blog “Advent 2, Beauty, Burning:” … “Nowhere is Gospel beauty more needful than in the superficial, irrational moralizing of gay activists. Two recent examples: a NYC Catholic High School invited a priest to address the Church’s response to homosexuality, which involves the humane and compassionate goal of chastity—purity expressed in and through the body. The outcry against his visit (and chastity for persons with SSA in particular) was so great that the school rescinded the invitation. Similarly, Liz and Mary, daughters of former Vice-President Dick Cheney, differ on their views of ‘gay marriage.’ Yet Mary, a ‘married’ lesbian activist, slammed her conservative sister with this public statement: ‘Liz, this is not an issue on which we disagree. You are just wrong. And on the wrong side of history.’”
“Activists are no longer intent on their ‘gay’ rights; they now demonize anyone who disagrees with them. (more…)

Christopher Doyle, ex-gay, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and founder of Voice of the Voiceless engaged radio host Dennis Prager on the etiology of homosexuality. In the exchange Prager did acknowledge that “The Left – the straight Left as well as the gay Left – have told as usual they have lied on behalf of their values, just as the President did, in my sad opinion, with regard to health care and with regard to his opposition to getting rid of the filibuster. The lie is that it is fixed in everybody; every gay it’s fixed. It’s amazing, the gay and straight Left tell us that sexual orientation is fixed, but gender isn’t. That’s what so, it’s mind-blowing, the world of lies, really, that we are expected to believe, and when said often enough people do believe it. (more…)

The following excerpt is from the report “Sham debate seeks ban on therapy for unwanted same sex attraction” on the Christian Concern website: “MPs have held a debate in Westminster Hall in an effort to increase pressure on the government to ban therapy which helps reduce feelings of unwanted same sex attraction.”
Change therapy is a means of reducing feelings of same sex attraction for individuals who seek change in their sexual preference and expression. Despite evidence that the therapy can help reduce unwanted feelings of same sex attraction, it was variously described as “voodoo”, “abhorrent” and a “real and present danger” during the debate.” (more…)

Following is an excerpt from Voice of the Voiceless condemning the bullying actions of gay activists: “Gay activists are champions of tolerance and anti-bullying, that is, until someone disagrees with their opinion. In that case, it’s hate speech and should not be tolerated! That’s exactly what is happening in Bronx, New York at Cardinal Spellman High School, where on Monday night the Catholic school announced that an address by retired priest Fr. Donald G. Timone from the New York Archdiocese on the issue of same-sex attraction, set for Tuesday, had been postponed.”
“Fr. Donald G. Timone has been involved with Courage − a 33 year-old Catholic support group that encourages men and women with same-sex attractions to live chaste lives − for many years. But gay activists don’t like the Catholic church’s position on homosexuality, so they began doing what they do best . . . bullying the school’s principal and administration for daring to host a priest that has stayed true to the church’s position on sexuality!” …

The following excerpts are from the PFOX Blog “Teach the NEA how to write:”… “Recently, PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays) received some correspondence from an NEA employee, a journalist who writes for NEA Today. The NEA correspondence was in response to an email from PFOX on the ex-gay community’s declaration for equal access and equal treatment in our nation’s schools. The journalist’s comment was brief and to the point — ‘Please stop sending us you’re garbage. Sincerely, the Majority of America.’”
… “The PFOX email that prompted NEA’s bigoted comment urged the distribution of ex-gay flyers on the ‘Day of Silence’ in order to give complete information on sexual orientation to students. Our ex-gay flyers tell teens about exploring the origin of same-sex attraction and warn them against early self-labeling as ‘gay’ because sexuality develops over time. PFOX needs to be that other voice that is heard in the schools. Our children cannot just hear only the voice of those promoting homosexual behavior and thoughts. They need to know that if they are experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction, that change is possible. The voice of the ex-gay community also needs to be affirmed and respected.” …

The following is the editorial “To This We’ve Come” by David Pickup, MA, LMFT published on the PFOX website: Last night, under the sponsorship of the venerable Los Angeles Press Club, the Screen Actors Guild, FreeWillUSA and Rage, a panel discussion event, “LGBTs in the News: There’s more to our story than discrimination and marriage,” was held in the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood. The advertised purpose of this event was stated as: “A great opportunity for journalists to improve their coverage of the emerging issues of a diverse community, growing in mainstream acceptance.”
Many topics were discussed about how professional journalists could accurately report on these emerging Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender (LGBT) issues in our country and the world. (more…)

Following is the unabridged News Update by the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund regarding the JONAH defense against the Southern Poverty Law Center’s lawsuit: The parties in the JONAH case will soon be ending the written discovery phase of this precedent-setting case and beginning numerous depositions. As a result of having to file multiple motions with the court, JONAH has been successful in getting plaintiffs to provide valuable information while at the same time it has protected the identities of its clients and potential clients. Many thousands of documents have been exchanged by the parties. This includes key documents which should help JONAH prove at trial that this ill-conceived case is the contrivance of homosexual activists like Wayne Besen and the SPLC. Wayne Besen has been quoted as stating the following about the importance of defeating what he calls the “Ex-Gay” movement: “This is the keystone issue that underlies every single LGBT issue that’s out there…If you win this issue, you’ve won, in essence.” (more…)

The following excerpt is from the essay “Mercy 5: Waking Up, Mercifully” on Andrew Comiskey’s blog: “Rouse thyself! May one glimpse of the world’s rendering of gender and sexuality provoke godly zeal in you. May zeal for His image consume us.”
“In October, California lawmakers gave K-12 students the state the choice to decide which bathroom to use and which team to play on based on their inner sense of gender. Biology no longer determines male and female. Blind guides have handed the reins to confounded children, who now lead the state into gender oblivion.” (more…)
