Following are excerpts from the article “George Mason University Admits to Discrimination Towards Students with Unwanted SSA” written by Christopher Doyle and published on the Voice of the Voiceless website: “Earlier this week, George Mason University’s (GMU) official student newspaper, Fourth Estate, reported on the discrimination happening at their LGBTQ Resource Center. ‘During his experience at Mason’s LGBTQ resource center, Doyle said he witnessed discrimination in these centers that he thinks has been going on at college campuses across Virginia. Doyle also said he received medically inaccurate advice and biased counseling.’” (more…)

Derrick and published on WorldMag.com: “WASHINGTON—A coalition of groups for former homosexuals honored Liberty Counsel founder Mathew Staver with the first annual Ex-Gay Pride Freedom Award at a banquet Monday night.”
“Voice of the Voiceless and Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) hosted the dinner and reception that was rescheduled from July after gay activists phoned and emailed threats. The event was delayed and moved from the Family Research Council’s Washington, D.C., office to an undisclosed location in the area.” (more…)

The initial report “University LGBTQ Resource Centers in Virginia Engaging in Viewpoint Discrimination” published by Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) is reprinted in its entirety. Links to audio recordings are available on the VoV website: As a part of September’s Ex-Gay Awareness Month, Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) went undercover into seven of Virginia’s fifteen state universities to document a variety of misconduct among publicly-funded employees, including medically-inaccurate advice, view point discrimination, and biased counseling for students who experience unwanted homosexual feelings. The investigation, which occurred over a 2 ½ week period in September, involved two former homosexuals posing as graduate students seeking anonymous counseling for unwanted homosexual feelings at university resource centers for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) students. The following excerpts are from Bob Unruh’s article “Undercover probe: Colleges suppress ex-‘gay’ info” on World Net Daily: “An undercover investigation conducted by Voice of the Voiceless, an advocacy group now promoting ‘Ex-Gay Awareness Month,’ is charging that many of Virginia’s state universities are promoting homosexuality – even though they are required to deliver accurate information that represents both sides of the issue.”
“The investigation was conducted by VoV over several weeks this month, and had two former homosexuals pose as graduate students seeking ‘anonymous counseling for unwanted homosexual feelings at university resource centers.’” (more…)

The following excerpts are from the article “Librarians confronted over ban on books” on the World Net Daily website: “Librarians across America are set to observe ‘Banned Books Week’ by highlighting titles that recently have faced censorship. But the librarians themselves this year are being accused of banning books. The claim comes from advocates for the community of ex-‘gays.’” (more…)

The following excerpts are from Joseph Farah’s article “The Matthew Shepard myth explodes” on World Net Daily: … “A new book, “The Book of Matt,” written by a sympathetic ‘gay’ man, Stephen Jiminez, finds that virtually everything that has been reported about Matthew Shepard’s death is wrong. … according to the new book, the story told by the murderers that they killed Shepard because he was a homosexual who came on to them is flat wrong. Shepard was not a martyr in the battle with homophobia. He was simply the victim of consensual homosexual relationship gone bad – as too many do.” (more…)

The following essay “Why Gays Cannot Speak for Ex-gays” by Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D. is from the NARTH website and reprinted in its entirety: This summer, a British television network called to interview me for a show about efforts toward sexual-orientation change. The host of the show, they informed me, was a gay man. I declined the invitation, stating that the host’s gay identity would disqualify him from a fair evaluation of the ex-gay experience.
To refuse participation because the host is gay may seem unreasonable, until we recognize that the adoption of a gay identity typically prevents someone from honestly assessing the experience of the other man who has taken a different developmental route– i.e., the ex-gay person.
Why would this be true? Let me explain. (more…)

The following PFOX press release “Does the ex-gay community need civil rights? – Ex-Gay Awareness Month designed to combat marginalization, discrimination” is reprinted in its entirety: The ex-gay community has designated each September as Ex-Gay Awareness Month. Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX), a sponsor of the event, says bringing awareness to the ex-gay community in this way has become necessary because gay activists have changed their strategy from seeking equality for the 3.9 percent of LGBT Americans to silencing any of the 96.1 percent who disagree with their agenda. Among those being silenced are former homosexuals, whose voices PFOX says are routinely marginalized, maligned, and minimized in the media and public sector. (more…)

The following excerpt is from Peter Sprigg’s article “Why Science Doesn’t Support Orientation-Change Bans” on FirstThings.com: … “In fact, the American Psychological Association itself has actually moved away from asserting certainty about the origins of homosexuality, declaring in their most recent statement on this question that: ‘There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation. . . . Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles.’”
“If even the American Psychological Association says ‘there is no consensus among scientists’ about the origin of homosexuality, then it seems presumptuous of politicians to act as though there is in order to stifle conservative viewpoints on the issue. (more…)

The following excerpts are from Fay Voshell’s article “Conversion Therapy Law Threatens Christians” on AmericanThinker.com: “When Chris Christie signed a law against conversion therapy directed at counseling teens experiencing homoerotic feelings, he probably didn’t think he had just put New Jersey on a path similar to countries like Saudi Arabia, which forbids conversion from the prevailing Muslim faith.”
“But forbidding efforts to convert is essentially what the governor did. He expressly forbade conversion from the prevailing progressive religion, whose chief doctrine is that sexual behavior, including the homoerotic behavior of some children, is a sacred, infallible, and therefore unchangeable indicator of what human identity entails.” (more…)
