A seminar called “Beyond Bisexuality: Living Between the Labels” presented by Prideworks for LGBT Youth teaches that “Sexuality is fluid.” This position on sexuality contradicts the argument that homosexuality is an innate condition, which most other LGBT organizations promote. In a quote from the World Net Daily article on the seminar PFOX president and ex-gay Greg Quinlan responded “It means that they honestly know and they’ve always known, they factually know, that sexuality is fluid and is a choice. You choose who you go to bed with. This means a lot to our organization.”

On November 28, 2012 Dr. Mehmet Oz, host of the Dr. Oz Show, let ex-gays Christopher Doyle and Rich Wyler along with NARTH leader Dr. Julie Hamilton present the case for sexual orientation change efforts. Gay representatives on the show argued against sexual orientation change efforts. Dr. Oz stated he wanted to bring the debate out in public. Not surprisingly gay organizations GLAAD, GLSEN and PFLAG issued a joint statement condemning the episode. MSNBC’s story covering the gay organizations fury can be linked here. Segments of the show can be linked here.

Excerpts from Matt Barber’s editorial on the World Net Daily website: “In recent months, ‘progressive’ lawmakers, activist attorneys and militant homosexual pressure groups have launched a fierce campaign to ban therapeutic help for child victims of monsters like homosexual pedophile Jerry Sandusky. California has already passed such a law (SB 1172). … The Archives of Sexual Behavior determined in a 2001 study that nearly half of all ‘gay’-identified men were molested by a homosexual pedophile … Under Sandusky Laws, if children begin to experience sexual confusion – such as unwanted same-sex attractions stemming from sexual abuse, trauma or any other factor – these bans force, under penalty of law, parents and therapists to tell the children that they are now ‘gay’ or ‘transgender’ and must live with it – even if they don’t wish to live with it and are otherwise recovering from the abuse-caused sexual confusion.”

Excerpts from Debora Barr on the PFOX website: “Radical transformation is possible! I lived 18 years of my life as a lesbian with absolutely no desire to change. Now that I have been set free from my invisible shackles, I am experiencing the most wholesome and unconditional love of my Savior, Jesus Christ and will never turn back!” … “They confronted our beliefs in a gentle and loving way, never backing down from their convictions, but gently showing us what the scriptures said about the way we were living. Over time, the Lord convicted us through his word – the Truth.”

Sun News network interviewed a former transgender identified man who found out later that a sex change operation was not what he needed. The United Kingdom resident’s sex change to a woman was paid for by the government. The man now says his desire to be a woman was a fantasy possibly related to his fear of dating a woman. Exodus International president Alan Chambers appeared on MSNBC Hardball July 9, 2012 with Chris Matthews. The MSNBC host referred to homosexuality as an innate condition and reparative therapy as “pray away the gay.”
Chambers claimed his problem with reparative therapy was that its focus has changed to claim a 100 percent cure of homosexual attractions and the use of heterosexual pornography by some therapists as a tool to instigate heterosexual attraction. (more…)

Peter Sprigg, board member of Parents and Friends of Ex-gays and Gays (PFOX), took the Washington Post to task for its statement “mainstream medical and mental-health associations say that homosexuality is innate.” The Washington Post statement was in an article about Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Joshua Starr rejection of a PFOX flier. Sprigg quoted the American Psychological Association (a pro-gay organization): “Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors.” (more…)
