Love Won Out ministry transitions to Exodus International
Focus on the Family is passing on the ministry of their Love Won Out conferences to Exodus International, the largest ex-gay organization in the world. The Love Won Out events are one day conferences on homosexuality that have been held in over fifty cites in the last decade, mostly in the United States and usually held in churches. Love Won Out conferences present truths about homosexuality to concerned and interested citizens; truths that are purposely ignored by academia and the media. Attendees learn that the homosexual lifestyle is destructive for many who enter into it, that homosexual desires are not something a person is born with, and that many people have successfully overcome their homosexual desires and behavior. Attendees are also educated on gay political efforts that have undermined the traditional morality of the nation and how gay politics have affected American families.
Exodus International has partnered with Focus on the Family in the Love Won Out conferences from their beginning in 1998. Recently, Exodus announced it was merging with the outreach ministries of the Presbyterian and Reformed faith communities as well as The United Methodist Church. Exodus believes those new partnerships will help equip churches with a biblical perspective of sexuality and gender, which was also the original mission of the Love Won Out conference.
