FCDF gives an update on the lawsuit against JONAH
December 19, 2013
Reprint of FCDF–NEWS UPDATE For Tuesday, January 29, 2013: The new religious liberty lawsuit in which FCDF is representing Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing (JONAH) is beginning to heat up and get considerable publicity. This is the lawsuit in which the extremist Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is seeking to prevent people with unwanted same-sex attractions from getting the help they voluntarily seek. Please see the latest television interview on this important case.
The SPLC has already sent out voluminous written discovery requests which make it clear that they will not stop with JONAH if they prevail. Rather, SPLC is planning a national campaign to go after all organizations that offer to help people in overcoming unwanted same-sex attractions. SPLC has two other law firms helping it, and seven lawyers on the case. This promises to be a very expensive and hard-fought case, and one that will have tremendous implications for religious liberty across the nation. Please consider helping FCDF win this important case by making as generous a donation to this cause as you can afford today.
Led by Chief Counsel Charles LiMandri, the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) specializes in defending consciences properly formed in moral principles by providing legal services at the trial level. As the United States continues its rapid moral decline, real threats to our religious freedom are increasing exponentially. FCDF is prepared to engage legal, legislative, and cultural issues on behalf of people of faith by implementing an effective strategy of advocacy, education, and litigation.
