The following quote was in the article “Dozens of Gays Arrested in Nigeria Under Strict New Law” by Jeff Schapiro on the Christian Post website. The article included Christopher Doyle”s comments on Nigeria’s new law against homosexual organizations and gay marriage: “Christopher Doyle, president of Voice of the Voiceless, an advocacy organization that works to support former homosexuals and individuals with unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA), said Tuesday that the law is ‘overly punitive’ and could create an environment of fear instead of one where people struggling with SSA can get help.”
“‘In that sense it sort of drives the discourse around this issue underground, and I don’t think that’s a good thing,’ said Doyle.” Read the rest of this entry →

Lesbian feminist and university professor Camille Paglia discussed sexuality on the Dennis Prager show. It is noteworthy from the ex-gay viewpoint, because she reiterated the same facts about the causation of homosexuality as sexual orientation change therapists. She started out the interview by stating “Well, it’s my point of view, sexuality is very fluid. Sexual Orientation can change according to circumstance. It’s an absolute canard, as I said in the Wall Street Journal interview, that you’re born gay. This is, there’s absolutely not a shred of evidence for that.” The Voice of the Voiceless transcribed some of her comments: “Every single gay person I know has some sort of drama going on, back in childhood. Something was happening that we’re not allowed to ask about anymore Read the rest of this entry →

The following excerpts are from the Core Issues Trust “Response to Association of Christian Counsellors Statement to its Membership: 10 January 2014:” … “‘One of the most important aspects in counselling is client autonomy. Any client seeking counselling has the right to indicate their goals and aspirations within counselling and to be respected for that choice. If a client seeks to explore change to their lifestyle or behaviour then using the core conditions the counsellor needs to respect that desire and work with them to their benefit. For the counsellor to reject this out of hand implies that they are seeking to impose their own agenda on the client and this is unethical.” (Association of Christian Counsellors, December 2012)”
“In January 2014 the ACC statement to its members now claims that supporting such an autonomous client’s goals to reduce or eliminate homosexual practice and/or feelings, is unethical. Read the rest of this entry →

The following excerpts are from the report “Defenseless, Surrounded” on Andrew Comiskey’s blog: … “I am mindful of God’s willingness to become utterly vulnerable, as are those of us who stand for the healing of persons with SSA. On every side, we are derided: politically by the flourishing of ‘gay marriage,’ clinically by the new trend to bash therapeutic efforts of persons seeking to align their sexuality with their faith, and spiritually by churchmen who, caught in the crossfire, abandon those seeking transformation.”
“You could say we have never been more vulnerable. Protective walls have thinned or fallen. But actually, we are surrounded; together we bow before the luminous Babe, all the more grateful for the mercy that exposed the depth of our sin and surpassed it many times over. We join with the angels and saints—the entire host of Heaven–in worshiping our King. Read the rest of this entry →

The following excerpts are from Executive Secretary of Anglican Mainstream Rev. Andrew Symes’ essay on the Christian Concern website: “According to the Bible, God is in the ‘conversion’ business. Christian faith is not an emotional or intellectual construction, something we create or imagine, but a response to God who reaches out to rebels, calls them to turn around and enter into a restored relationship with him. God wants all of us to repent, to be transformed, to be born again. He has acted definitively in Jesus to change us from enemies into friends; he continues to act through his Holy Spirit to change us from within so our behaviour becomes more aligned with his agenda. This is conversion: not often instantaneous, but a process of change which follows the life-transforming realization that Jesus is Lord.”
… “This Bill [UK Parliament Counsellors and Psychotherapists (Regulation) Bill 2013-2014] is a threat to Christian counsellors who work in this area, and to people with same sex attraction who want to access counselling that is trained and accredited. Read the rest of this entry →

The following International Healing Foundation press release is reprinted in its entirety: Bowie, MD — Today, Delegate Jon Cardin introduced House Bill 91, legislation that would ban minors in the state of Maryland from seeing a licensed mental health practitioner to resolve unwanted same-sex attraction (SSA). International Healing Foundation (IHF), a non-profit organization that has since 1990, helped thousands of individuals and families struggling with sexual orientation issues, strongly opposes this legislation and is asking the Maryland Legislature to consider all viewpoints and review all the research on the efficacy of Sexual Orientation Change Effort (SOCE) therapy. The following excerpts are from the article “Homosexual Lobby on the Attack Again” written by Cliff Kincaid and published on Accuracy In Media: … “The Maybe He’s Not Gay book ‘seeks to tell kids the truth about homosexual behavior,’ [Linda Harvey] says. It explains in a conversational tone why no one is born homosexual, the health risks associated with the lifestyle, and factors which may lead to same sex attractions.”
… “But Harvey tells Accuracy in Media she asked the publisher to pull her book from Amazon because it “had attracted the usual ‘gay’ mob with ad hominem attacks and even numerous review[er]s that admitted they had not read the book.” She said, “They just wanted to attack the idea of a book for kids, and me personally.” Read the rest of this entry →

The following PFOX response to the Duck Dynasty controversy is reprinted in its entirety: The gay bullying and intimidation deployed against Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson is nothing new to the ex-gay community. For too long in this country, gay rights organizations have incorporated ex-gay bashing as an integral part of their mission. Christian ex-gays are ridiculed for their faith, while people seeking therapy for unwanted same-sex attractions are painted as dangerously delusional. On this one-way street of intolerance, former homosexuals are accused of being liars or fakes while transgenders are celebrated for changing their gender identity. Using their political power and mainstream media support, gay activists work to keep ex-gays in the closet while demanding legal recognition of single-sex marriage as an equal right.
This well-organized and heavily-funded bullying of former homosexuals and ex-gay speech is known by the ex-gay community as ‘homofascism.’ Read the rest of this entry →
