Ex-gay activist Greg Quinlan’s concern over the hate crime bill before Congress has been picked up by Fox News. Normally the viewpoints of ex-gays are dismissed by the major news networks, so this is a big deal for the ex-gay movement. Quinlan’s concern: “Think twice America. Do you want to give gay activists the right to hate under the guise of ‘civil rights’ protections.” Fox News Article July 15, 2009

Italian pop singer Giuseppe Povia sang his song “”Luca Era Gay” (Luca was once gay) at Italy’s “Festival di San Remo” in February despite protests and death threats from gay activists. I am looking forward to “Real Hope’s” premiere at the Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival in Houston. A preliminary version of the documentary was screened last October at a Christian film festival in San Francisco. It was a rewarding experience for me to hear the audience reactions throughout the docudrama and then later hear how it moved them.
After the screening a woman working as a greeter told me that as the documentary was playing several of the youth workers at the festival came out of the auditorium to encourage their fellow youth workers to go in and watch the documentary. Their message to their friends was “You’ve gotta see this!” That is pretty much my perspective on the Christian ex-gay movement. Words cannot adequately describe and explain these individuals and their mission. You gotta see it to best understand it.
